Course Description: You will learn about the hair and beauty sector, this will include the correct training and career opportunities that are available to you when you leave school. You will hear from several guest speakers who have made a career from hair and beauty. A Connexions Advisor will help you with any matters concerning training or career choices. Learning how to present a professional image in the salon will help you to gain future employment in the employment sector. You will learn how to apply and choose the correct make-up, learning how colours go together and how a complete fashion look is created. You will learn how to do nail art creating some fantastic looks for day or night time wear. Learning how to style hair will allow you to do other people’s hair; you will be very popular with your friends and family! You will learn how to style and look after your own hair, nails and make-up, giving you a good foundation in the hair and beauty sector.
